Joe Munroe

Joe Munroe is a professional tattoo artist now based in South Shields, in the north east of England.

He specialises in precision geometry, dot work, heavy black work and illustrative tattooing in black and grey or colour. He is not a fan of portrait work.

Tattooing professionally for well over 20 years he is now considered a master of his craft.

With a honed attention to detail and a keen eye for design his portfolio clearly speaks for itself.

Joe is a friendly character who is always up for a conversation about anything interesting, from general gossip and diet too the nature of reality and God but as much as he enjoys a decent conversation with a game participant Joe also cherishes silence and is always happy to just get his head down and work to the music.

Joe Munroe considers tattooing to be one of the most sacred expressions of art and a special type of difficult practice that has the power to help a human tune into and express themselves more deeply…. But he mainly thinks it just looks cool and requires no other significance than wanting your skin to look interesting.
